Sculpture dealing with the connection between memories, dreams, and thresholds. A phenomenon frequently experienced by many, the “doorway effect,” describes the experience of arriving somewhere only to realize you've forgotten what you were there to do. Studies have demonstrates how certain memories are built with shelf lives and attachments to physical environments, experiencing a purge once a threshold is crossed. It is an unconscious, psychic phenomenon that is activated by geography and surrounding physical space. A slip of memory that allows for new information to be processed, even for daydreaming to occur – a sight of loss and of finding.
